Under the framework of APEC, with the aim to explore opportunities of global economic growth and China’s development, APEC China CEO Forum actively creates dialogue and communication for business leaders with policy-makers from economic, financial, science and technology sectors. The Forum is also a high-end international platform to drive interaction, innovation and win-win cooperation for business community.
Initiated in 2012, APEC China CEO Forum is the key platform for China’s business community to participate in APEC. With its rapid economic development, China has come to be the focus of APEC economies. China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), together with the key partners of APEC CEO SUMMITS, hosted the inaugural APEC China CEO Forum with the theme of The Challenges of Development in 2012 in Beijing. China’s State Council leadership attended the opening ceremony. The forum was successfully held again in Beijing and in Seattle with respective themes of China in Transition: New Leadership, New Prospects and Engaging China’s Future.
The 2018 APEC China CEO Forum is co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and APEC China Business Council (ACBC). ACBC was officially founded in Beijing as a non-profit industrial and commercial organization and was co-founded by entrepreneurs including Chinese representatives of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) on August 16, 2013. China’s President Xi Jinping said the establishment of APEC China Business Council “provides institutional guarantee for the business sector’s deeper involvement in the making of economic and trade rules in the Asia-Pacific, and demonstrates the readiness of China’s business community to undertake international responsibilities. ”
