In June 2021, APEC Women Leadership Forum joined hands with Dunhuang Academy in presenting the first theme event “A Journey to Dunhuang” in Gansu Province. Around 30 guests including outstanding women representatives and others visited the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the greatest treasure-trove of Buddhist art and held dialogues with Dunhuang academics. At the forum “Dialogue between ‘Maogao Spirit’ and Entrepreneurial spirit”, Zhao Shenglian，the then President of Dunhuang Academy kicked off the discussion with a welcome speech. Su Bomin, Vice-President, Zhang Yuanlin, Chief Librarian and Director of the Center for Research on the Silk Road and Dunhuang, Li Shaohong, famous film director, Ji Shisan, CEO of Guokr, Coco Chen, Founder and CEO of Elezone Technology, Michelle Cao, Founder and CEO of VPHOTO, Han Yan, Founder and Chairperson of CHEERS Publishing, Shen Yinyin, Policy Advisor of APEC China Business Council attended the forum and conducted deep discussions on the themes of “Dialogue between ‘Maogao Sprit’ and Entrepreneurial spirit”, and “Cultural Geography: Cultural Confidence and International Cooperation”.

With the theme of “Marvelous Girls”, 2021 APEC Women Leadership Forum GALA Dinner presented a group image of the extraordinary women in this era, and pays tribute to those women with versatile talents. H.E. Clare Fearnley, Ambassador of New Zealand to the People’s Republic of China, Sun Xiao, Secretary-General, APEC China Business Council,Director General, Multilateral Cooperation Department of China Chamber of International Commerce, Li Jinfeng, Chairperson of Huabangaimei Group, Jiang Lin, Deputy General Manager of Wuliangye Group and other distinguished guests attended the dinner. Lu Jiao, Co-Founder of Genki Forest, Ma Xin, CEO of GenomCam Inc, Issa Liao, CEO of Shenzhen Merry Mall Network Technology, Amanda Lu, Director of Kendal International Mountain Film Festival Asia Pacific, Founder of Kendal China shared their “Marvelous” stories in the GALA Dinner.

APEC Women Leadership Forum aims at creating diversified and energetic scenarios and contents for women, broaden their perspectives and stimulate inspirations. During the APEC Women Leadership Forum 2021, L'AMOUR Afternoon Tea and Culture Salon invited guests to share their insights about art collection, aesthetics, commercial design. The Salon creates a unique scenario of senses and enriches the experiences for the forum participants. 

On September 25th, the last highlight event of APEC Women Leadership Forum – the thematic Dinner “Blossom of Chengdu” was successfully held. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Cheng Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee, Deputy Mayor of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government attended the dinner and deliver speeches. Cheng Wei introduced the business environment of Chengdu. Great performances of local art shows display Chengdu’s great potentials to the world. Diplomats, business leaders and representatives from Sichuan Provinces attended the dinner.
